Winston Ward is an R&B artist, songwriter, and creative visionary from The Bronx, New York, known for his soulful vocals, heartfelt storytelling, and commitment to redefining modern soul music.
Rooted in the influence of icons like Luther Vandross, Boyz II Men, and Brandy, Winston began his musical journey studying harmonies and lyrics with precision. His first “stage” was the hallways of his Bronx high school (Bronx Leadership Academy), which sparked a confidence that would carry him to stages across the country and overseas.

Winston doesn’t fit the mold of today’s typical R&B artist and he’s proud of that. Inspired by legends like Barry White and Gerald Levert, he is determined to revive representation for big men in R&B while carving out a sound that is as rich and powerful as his presence.

To date, Winston has released one full-length album (Creative), three EPs (The Backstory, Heart On My Sleeves, Summertime Interlude), and several singles and remixes. His music has been featured on national and college radio, and in various web series, short films, and feature films. With over 300 writing and vocal credits since 2018, his catalog reflects both versatility and emotional depth.

Outside of the studio, Winston is the founder of The Univerxity, a creative agency and performance space in Manhattan dedicated to developing artists and cultivating community. Through live events, mentorship, and storytelling, he uses his platform to inspire and empower the next generation of R&B creators.

Winston’s upcoming album Soul In The Machine represents his most personal work to date, continuing his mission to restore soul, depth, and presence to the forefront of the genre.
